THE HAPPY PEAR

We started the year off on an adventure over the sea to Ireland to immerse ourselves in the wild landscape, have some family time and to visit some inspiring cafés we have been following for some time. Top on the list of places to go was ‘The Happy Pear’ down in Greystones, founded by two of the happiest guys we’ve met. They are identical twin brothers on a mission to make the world a happy, healthier place. They started back in 2004 with a small veg shop and a big dream. Now 14 years on they have several cafés, shops, a large product range, cookbooks, a coffee roastery and even a small-scale farm.

We loved the the opportunity to catch up with them over yoga, a morning dunk in the Irish sea, followed by a delicious plantbased, homemade breakfast. They’re such an open and sharing pair, they even took time to give us some business tips for Wild & Wild. Here is a little from the happy pear philosophy to life, “We think it’s not just about healthy eating, but our lifestyle. We absolutely love rising early and heading to Greystones beach to catch the sunrise. We appreciate every day and really believe that the key to happiness is good health and a great support network. We love nothing more than inviting over the troops and cooking up a storm!”

These two have inspired us so much and love that their family is central to their values just like ours. Lovely to see the café being so family friendly and having such a strong sense of community. This is at the core of our dream for Wild & Wild too, a passion and we cannot wait to share with Congleton and the rest of Cheshire and beyond.
